ABOUT THE EVENT /

THIS IS A UNIQUE AND INNOVATIVE 2 DAY MASTER CLASS AND HANDS ON WORKSHOP ON ADVANCED PROCEDURES IN INTERVENTIONAL ENDOSCOPY. INTERVENTIONAL ENDOSCOPY HAS TRADITIONALLY INCLUDED ERCP AND EUS. HOWEVER, THE FIELD HAS NOW EXPANDED TO MORE THAN JUST ERCP AND DIAGNOSTIC EUS WITH THE DEVELOPMENT OF NEW ADVANCED ENDOSCOPIC TECHNIQUES. WE THEREFORE DESIGNED AND STARTED A UNIQUE COURSE FOR HANDS ON LEARNING AND EDUCATION IN THESE ADVANCED PROCEDURES. OUR COURSE HAS BEEN SOLD OUT SINCE 2017 AND WE ARE PROUD TO HOST THE 5TH ANNUAL APIE COURSE THIS YEAR IN PERSON AFTER A VIRTUAL OFFERING LAST YEAR:

  • POEM

  • ESD

  • ANTI-REFLUX ENDOSCOPY

  • ENDOSCOPIC SUTURING

  • INTERVENTIONAL EUS

  • BARIATRIC ENDOSCOPY

  • NEW RESECTION DEVICES

  • ENDOHEPATOLOGY

THIS COURSE WILL OFFER SMALL - GROUP LEARNING EXPERIENCE FOR ATTENDEES, PROVIDING DIDACTIC LECTURES AND AMPLE HANDS ON TIME FOR ADVANCED ENDOSCOPIC TECHNIQUES BEYOND ERCP AND DIAGNOSTIC EUS. A SPECIFIC FOCUS OF THIS PROGRAM WILL BE THE NEXT GENERATION OF ENDOSCOPIC TECHNOLOGY AND DEVICES, AS WELL AS CUTTING-EDGE TECHNIQUES USED BY EXPERTS IN THE FIELDS. THERE WILL BE EXTENSIVE DISCUSSION OF ENDOSCOPIC TECHNIQUES, DEVICES, AND INSTRUMENTS THROUGH LECTURES, VIDEOS, AND HANDS ON STATIONS.

The University of Colorado School of Medicine designates this live activity for a maximum of 14.25 AMA PRA Category 1 Credit(s)™.  Physicians should claim only the credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity.

 

Successful completion of this CME activity, which includes participation in the evaluation component, enables the participant to earn up to 14.25 MOC points in the American Board of Internal Medicine’s (ABIM) Maintenance of Certification (MOC) program.  It is the CME activity provider’s responsibility to submit participant completion information to ACCME for the purpose of granting ABIM MOC credit.  

 

To earn board credit, the attendee must participate in the CME activity including the evaluation component.  By participating in this event and requesting board credit, I understand that my learner completion data will be shared with the ACCME and the applicable certifying board.
